ABOUT

Reilly Fox is currently pursuing a Ph.D. in Music Education while also serving as a Graduate Teaching Assistant for the Department of Music at Auburn University.

Prior Auburn, Fox served as the Assistant Director of Athletic Bands at East Tennessee State University where his duties included assisting with the direction of the Marching Bucs, directing the Buccaneer Brass basketball bands, assisting with the concert bands program, teaching beginning and advanced conducting courses along with other classes in the Music Education degree curriculum.

During his time at ETSU, the Marching Bucs grew from 240 to 315 members and were selected to perform at the Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade. This honor made the Marching Bucs the first collegiate band from the state of Tennessee to perform in the parade in over 50 years. Reilly was also a featured conductor on Songs from the Hills: The Music of Jack Stamp, Vol. VI, on the Mark Masters label.

Fox received a Master of Music degree from the University of Tennessee, concentrating in bass trombone performance and instrumental conducting. While at Tennessee, Fox was a graduate teaching assistant with the Pride of the Southland Band, concert ensembles, the beginning and advanced conducting courses, as well as directed the Men’s and Lady Vols basketball pep bands.

Fox is a sought-after adjudicator of the marching arts in Tennessee, North Carolina, and Virginia, and maintains an active freelance career. He has performed with the Knoxville Symphony Orchestra, Johnson City Symphony Orchestra, Jackson Symphony, and varying ensembles around the Southeast. He holds professional memberships in the College Band Directors National Association, National Association of Music Educators, and Alabama Music Educators Association.
